Gaining insight in your business processes with BPM|one

Print

A thorough understanding of your business processes is a crucial factor of your success in reaching your business objectives and your ability to respond effectively to changing circumstances. BPM|one covers the whole BPM cycle. In the first stage – the analysis phase – you gain insight into your process landscape and establish the interaction between the processes. BPM|one offers two ways of highlighting business processes during the analysis phase.

Traditional Process analysis
BPM|one offers excellent process, risk and quality analyses that provide a quick overview of whether or not the relevant quality criteria comply with the rules and regulations, while also providing an overview of risks and points for improvement.
You can see at a glance which activities result in added value, where checking and confirmation take place, where interactions arise, etc. This provides a wealth of information for process improvement. Specific analysis resources are also available for each phase of the Process Life Cycle.

Advantages:

  • Integrity of models.
  • Insight into meeting requirements for timeliness, accuracy and completeness.
  • Excellent internal checking.
  • Compliance: meeting rules and regulations.
  • Quality: meeting internal and external standards requirements.
  • Risk management.
  • Cost savings through an effective and more efficient working method.

Process Mining

Pallas Athena has integrated Process Mining in Business Process Management through a collaborative effort with the Eindhoven University of Technology. BPM|one employs an algorithm that detects automatic processes based on historical data. This is known as Process Discovery. Process Mining not only enables the actual process to be determined from this data, but also gleans valuable information about the way they are carried out. This leads to a radical way of documenting processes. With Process Mining, the actual process can be reconstructed in a short period of time. You will also find that processes are often more complicated than you may have imagined.

Advantages:

  • Difference analysis between process definition and implementation. (Are you in control?)
  • Visual representation of the bottlenecks and exceptions within a process, accompanied by indicators that show potential points for improvement.
  • An objective baseline measurement.
  • The ability to directly simulate improvements to lead time and cost savings.
