WÜBA, Germany's oldest transport insurance company offers property and casualty, marine, personal lines, and accident and health insurance through more than 2,500 broker relationships.

Challenge

The process to create an insurance policy required working with paper files, capturing data, gathering and collating pre-printed attachments, central and outsourced printing. The end-users had minimum support for recurring procedures.

Solution

The solution consists of standard software for document generation and the printing process of the insurance policy. The documents are personalized with direct integration to ICIS (Insurance Company Information System) for customer data and the end-users may edit the created document in Microsoft Word. Brokers interact online with WÜBA internet portal to create quotes and enter claims for their customers.
The document generation solution of WÜBA is now available as a product from Pallas Athena and distributed globally.

BVK is the largest public representative chamber providing old-age benefits and disability products and services for professionals in Bavaria (Germany).

Challenge

The printing of customer communication was inflexible and could not be extended. The solution had to cope with the demand of high print volume and at the same time produce modern documents.

Solution

Modus|one was selected for generating all communication data and implemented in ten business units. Modus is seamlessly integrated with the customer management system FUTURA and BVK’s archiving system ADUS. The component approach enables texts components to be defined once and then re-used in multiple document templates. This has resulted in a solution that is powerful yet easy to use. With Modus|one, BVK generates both standardized and highly personalized documents - 15 million pages a year for 1.8 million contracts.
